Its a big weekend for, killer time slot and Ionic Productions biggest show to date as they have hired me to do sound for the main electronic stage.... looking forward to hearing the RCF's pounding big beats across the ocean this coming weekend. Ill be sharing the stage with the likes of Liquid Stranger, Dub Gabriel, many of vancouvers Lighta crew and many other fabulous locals. And of course Ill be making the trip back to Shambhala for a hot 10 till midnight performance on saturday night. There are a few more shows in the works and Ill let you know when finalize.
I would also like to announce that I have joined a new production team here in Vancouver. The team will consist of myself, Nils of Beats without Borders fame and my good friend Ashkan. Our production name is Telepaphone Productions and our goal is to bring the very best in cutting edge electronica to vancouver in dane floor friendly venues where our beautiful and vibrant community will feel right at home. Our first show is fully confirmed and you will see promo coming out shortly. We will be featuring Ott of Twisted records out of the United Kingdom. The show will be on oct 16th at the Red Room in Vancouver. Expect a series of aprox 5 or 6 shows this winter, keep your ear to the ground, they are going to be great shows!

So its a week since the end of the Shadow fx tour and I want to debrief you all on how it went. The Vancouver show was so very bitter sweet. A freak snow storm blasted the city in the late afternoon as we were setting up the show and I cant help but think it kept a few people in their warm homes for the night. But we still had a solid crowd brave the crazy weather to make it out to in my opinion one my favorite trance nights Vancouver has seen in quite some time. The music was out of this world, everybody put on their game face and delivered very memorable sets that still have my memory dancing! Byron, Matt, Joey and Marsha completely out did themselves with the visuals and decorations. The dance studio was transformed into a very warm and enlightened space for all of us to get busy in. Special thanks to everyone who put in lots of effort to help with loading gear, decorating, set up and clean up. And a super special thank you to Rayann and the SFU girls for the amazing performance dance pieces that played out during the night!!! You guys were awesome! Both Terry and myself are so very honored to have had so much help and support from the community, looking forward to the next one.
Fast forward one week and I find myself in Calgary for the 5th and last Shadow fx show. Again I cant explain my joy to have been a part of such a wonderful gathering. It was so great to see so many faces from past and present make it out to support what very likely will be the last Calgary Area709 event for quite some time. Its been awhile since the whole Area709 crew played beats together and I think because of the fact its going to be the last show for awhile everybody brought something very special to the decks this night. I haven't danced so hard in ages! And of course I must send my deepest appreciation to the person who was the catalyst for all this ruckus, James of Shadow Fx. From grooving to your super intelligent rhythms, cruising around the coast, or hanging out in the studio it was an absolute pleasure to get to share some time with you. I hope you enjoyed your time in Canada as much as we all enjoyed hosting you, I really hope its not the last time.
Thats pretty much it for now, Ill have some pics and videos up shortly and keep and ear to the ground, very soon there will a new track emerging from the studio from Matte and I, its going to a gooder... Peace for now!
